For the past seven years, Lindsey has worked in private practice providing individual and couples therapy.  Lindsey is excited to bring her practice to Webster, NY and offer her expertise in the area of couples and prenatal and postpartum therapy.

 

Lindsey has served the Rochester and Monroe County area working with domestic violence victims and their children recovering from trauma providing individual, family, and group therapy. 

 

In the New York City metropolitan area, Lindsey served clients reuniting with their families after incarceration and other forced separations, such as foster care placement.  This time period included extensive work in the area of parenting skills building and group therapy. 

 

In the Washington, DC metropolitan area, Lindsey served clients from a variety of backgrounds facing a myriad of challenges including divorce and separation, court mandated therapy, domestic violence, anxiety, depression and child behavioral problems. 

 

Lindsey Short, LMFT, is a trained Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed by New York State, and a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.  She completed her Bachelors degree in Psychology at the University of Buffalo, NY and her Masters degree and therapy training were completed at the University of Maryland.
